Webinar: Presencing Along Life’s Journey with Otto Scharmer

We are pleased to share the next installment of publicizing our HLA Fall 2023 Webinar Series online.

This week’s highlight is “Precencing Along Life’s Journey”, originally recorded in November 2023. In this webinar, Otto Scharmer expands on “presencing” and how it can be a critical mindset for professors and students alike. Otto shares how his work interfaces with the ideas of Humanistic Leadership, and then holds a Q&A session.

Otto Scharmer is a Senior Lecturer in the MIT Sloan School of Management, co-founder of the Presencing Institute and the U-School for Transformation. Scharmer chairs the MIT IDEAS program for cross-sector innovation and introduced the concept of “presencing”–learning from the emerging future–in his best-selling books, “Theory U: Leading from the Future as it Emerges” and “Presence: An Exploration of Profound Change in People, Organizations and Society”.
